Yah, I used to have a turbo that was full boost at 2600 rpm. Boy did that make the car sqirly. It just came on boost to soon before the car had built up speed and spooled to fast. What a mess. Made the car fun to drive, but not fun to drive all in the same. Lag is your friend when it comes to traction. I now run a 57 mm turbo that see's full boost at 4400 rpm and the car is SO much better to drive. I would never go back to a small turbo in this particular car. Then people say " well what about the lag". Huh? These cars are so light they scoot right along even with no boost. That would be like saying putting a big turbo on a viper some how GAVE IT "lag".....yah, I guess if you call 400 lb feet torque at 2100 rpm lag. Remember you can't take away from the fact the viper made that power before the turbo was even introduced, same with our little lotus's. Even in N/A they are quick....
Once your done with your set-up you will have to let us now how the traction is with a small turbo. Glad I got away from that nightmare.
