The fender mirrors are from a Cobra mounted similar to old MGs. I didn’t want the mirrors on my doors or windshield. Periodically I run with the top on and I leave my doors on continuously.

The Mini is not mine. I once thought of getting an original mini after a friend was pushing one on me. A Mini would have fit next to the 7 in basically the same space. An original mini measures 4 x 8 and with wheel dollies I figured it could be pushed into a corner. Unfortunately the car does not turn me on. Other then Jags and Lotuses, I prefer German and Italian metal.

My name is Sandy, I have a 1970 series 3 right hand drive Lotus 7 located on Long Island. I have had the car now about 5 years. The car has a 1700cc Ford Kent with dual webbers. When the webbers are in tune the car screams. The fun with this car is the oil pan is 2.5" off the road. I have changed the oil pan already once either caused by a pot hole or once getting stuck on a speed bump. I have other cars but this car is the most fun to drive especially on hilly twisty roads. I try to stay off 4 laned highways. I get spooked when a SUV passes me and I know there is no way he can see me. The other issue is the local highway surfaces are rough. My car has trouble going over 60 mph. Between the car bouncing and my teeth chattering I just can not make it over 60. On asphalt roads 75 -80 is easy to maintain with my 4 speed.
