  5. Still looking are there any for sale ?
  6. Thanks Tom,its a De Dion. Will the FIA bar fit under the high visibility top ?
  7. Looking for a FIA roll bar for my 1992 Caterham.
  8. I imported my RHD 1992 Caterham from England to Alberta, because it was more than 15yrs old it was a simple out of province inspection. The car was considered exempt from crash and emission standards. The only changes I had to do was replace the RHD Cibie lights and install a daytime running light module ( $60.00). I really like your colour combination and its great to see another set of clam shells. Good luck with your inspection
  9. I appreciate all the positive remarks ,the sale is the outcome of being gone for 11 weeks of our 16 to 18 weeks of Summer. Woke up this morning to 3cms of snow on the ground and our town promptly went out put gravel on the roads ! Gravel, the arch enemy of Super Sevens! I would never sell it for a low offer.
  10. Yes that's my car. I was barely able to put 400 miles on it this summer. I decided to put it up for sale and see what happens .If someone buys it they will get a great car if not I will keep it. My work takes my away in the summer and our summer is too short as it is!http://www.usa7s.com/vb/images/icons/icon9.gif
  11. On my 1992 Caterham Super Sprint engine with an alloy valve I found that the hold down bolts were too long and bottomed out before compression of the cover gasket.Shortening the bolts and silicone keep it leak free.
  12. Where are you located ?
  13. Two Bone you need to move to Alberta !:auto:
  14. No problem Steve, it looks like it was a great trip in the Blackhills. If you send me a PM I will send you more direct contact information.
  15. Would have joined you but this posting was the first I heard about the blat !

Sounds like a great idea, I have had my car out a few times but thew gravel on the roads is unbelievable ! When you are serviceable let me know and I will see if I can line up some of the local Sevens. :driving:
  17. Sounds Great, looking forward to it.:driving:
  18. I am looking to buy a molded black transmission carpet for my 1992 Caterham. Its a 5speed with De Dion. Any suggestions?
  19. Hi Steve I used a company in England to ship the car and they were fantastic to deal with. They built a crate around the car which enabled it to go in a container with other freight to Montreal and then it went in bond by rail to Calgary. I bought the car in early April and it was in Calgary by the second week of May. If you ever want more information please let me know.
  20. I have tried several times to upload pictures of my car and every time it fails. I covered about a thousand miles last year doing the classics, Highwood Pass, The 1A to Lake Louise etc. No problem with importing the car or registering in the province. The car ran great ( 165Hp ) and I just have to change some of the idle jets to compensate for the altitude.
  21. It will be a nice looking car when you are finished. In Canmore I have 1992 Caterham and there are also several Birkins . A Blat in the Rockies would be great.:cooldude:
  22. It makes a huge difference who ships the car. I shipped my 1992 Caterham last spring from England to Calgary and I did a lot of research into different methods available. The company I used was www.phoenix-cargo.com in England and the contact was Terry Pittaway. They have a lot of experience shipping cars from England around the world. A couple of points to cover, ship it to the nearest port then have it shipped in bond by rail or truck to its final destination.Crates in bond are treated completely different. You need paper work for the wood used in crate that it has been treated and a statement of cleanliness for the kit but because it is new this should not be a problem. Customs love paperwork! Send me a PM if you have any other questions.
  23. Steve, great pictures! My car is on a ship in the Atlantic somewhere heading for Montreal. Try Malcolm at Auto-Mann in Calgary. He tuned the Webers on my Westfield in about an hour last year and it made a huge difference.
  24. Hey Steve The car looks great ! My car should be here by the beginning of May. Give me a shout if you make it to the mountains and we will go for a Blatt. One suggestion I have is be selective where you take it for your out of province inspection. It can save you a lot of grief !:seeya:
  25. Thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate the suggestions. I had a 1990 RHD Westfield SEI with two side view mirrors and a very loud air horn! In traffic they were your best friends.
