  1. Now so wet here it seems impossible that we were riding around in that crazy open car! BTW for those in the know - 0 PSA! All clear on the prostate and plans to take off two months next summer - car and boat...
  2. the site of Stalker alternator burn out!
  3. so it was the wild driving that fried the alternator! Is there a way to post his vids I have started an album, but it takes a bit of patience one photo ata time!

Seven sevens on beautiful roads in beautiful weather
  5. Seven sevens, until the yellow peril melted its alternator. Gorgeous weather and a great team. Pics to come. Battery charged and ready to go again as soon as we bolt in the new alternator. Nick is over the moon having driven 4 of the cars. A weekend that brought Jack's diesel economy seven and a visit to David SP's and running up his 300+ supercharged HayaB Caterham was something to suit all. Oh, and the cider was great...
  6. Eight vehicles by my count, but we will count heads tomorrow!
  7. So I survived! I will host but Gill and Nick will take the car!!! Plans... expecting 7-9 cars. If any of you can make only a part, please join - even without cars RSVP and come for the barbecue. Will check on David's post-surgery recovery regarding the Sunday visit. 8. Team - it looks like 7-9 cars so far and a visit to the two at Super7Cars (David will have a brand new hip and I will have a missing prostate! We both have surgery this wed..) If summer stays it will be a blast. 600kms on the new SuperStalker in about two weeks. Settling in well.
  9. We are 7 cars at the moment for the VI gathering. I will work on rounding up 3 or four others for the barbecue at least!!!
  10. Well, despite silence we are still hoping a bunch of you will come. I have some personal challenges, but we have a new SuperStalker and Gill will lead you on the 4th for some or all of Nanaimo-Victoria-Port Renfrew to Nanaimo. Barbecue at our place and we are thinking of hiring security so that anyone in a hotel can leave their car at our place safely overnight. Sunday breakfast and then to Merridale Cidery en route Victoria for those leaving that way. Could all of you who still are planning to come let us know with a confirming email (chriscampbellattelus.net) soon. I recommend ferry bookings - very early 4th to Nanaimo; early to Victoria. Depart Nanaimo Sun evening or Victoria late aft 5th. We may be able to get a friendly rate at a local hotel if we have some ideas of numbers. The beds chez nous are grabbed, but we do have a couple of couches if needed. We had 18 expressions of interest and I think lost two! Who is really in????? BTW - summer arrived today!
  11. Sold and moving to Montreal. Will be road and track day car.
  12. Stalker number 17 is being replaced! Super Stalker #65 is about to hit the road… If you are new to the idea of a Stalker, check out Brunton Automotive (http://www.bruntonauto.com/). This is a cleverly designed and extremely well-fabricated chassis with close to 200bhp and unbelievable torque in a 1,500lb package. You will feel comfortable, safe and exhilarated, and you will realize it is practical to realize your dream. • Licensed in British Columbia Canada • Completed in 2004 by Al Beix o New crate HO 3.4 from GM + Holley 4 barrel • One additional owner – ca 500 miles • Ca 4000 miles from build • Refit in 2011 o Front end conversion • Wilwood disc brakes • Updated steering arms/fender stays • Indicator repeaters added and fenders re-fitted to reduce rock spray o Rear end conversion • GrandAm rear discs and functional e Brake • New Moser axle shafts o Reconfigured Wilwood master cylinders to match o Full rollcage (1.5 in DOM) installed o Hushpower 11s and full exhausts each side o New clutch release bearing and updated T5 transmission o Lokar throttle pedal and linkage o Windshield raised to match roll cage o Stainless “rock guards” added to rear fenders o New rear deck and “trunk” created o Daytime running lights, marker lights and reflectors added o A lot of general tidying and safety changes • Ca 1000 miles in summer 2011 This car is now a seriously civilized ride with progressive brakes, no exhaust fumes or noise in the cockpit, vastly reduced wind buffeting and much improved visibility through the higher windshied and a rollbar mounted mirror! With the right shock settings and tire pressures 200-mile days are a breeze. Auto X’d once recently, it generated smiles all around. Generally it gets thumbs-up from the law, smiles from women and kids and jealous glares from males 20-55! Having spent without reserve, we tripped over the opportunity to do a build from the ground up. This car can now become someone else’s opportunity to play without needing any work. Available immediately or make a trip to join as many as 18 “7”s for the weekend of August 4/5 on Vancouver Island and drive it home! You can pay Brunton $35k, or Mark Scott $50k, save up for a Caterham, or, the first offer of $27,500 takes it. 13. There is Scrumpy - Merridale Estate Cidery | Cider http://www.merridalecider.com/
  14. Some of you will gather in nanaimo for the fri night and join others who will overnight in the Victoria area or come in on the Sat morning ferries. We will plan to run the loop through Sooke, Port Renfrew, Lake Cowichan and end up back in Nanaimo for Saturday night. On the Sunday, some might like to do a west coast run to Tofino/Ucluelet, we can stay local and end up at the Crow and Gate or we could do a mostly backroads and vineyard/cidery run to deliver some back to Victoria. Open to thoughts...
