not heard from anyone in a while. Is there possibly a meet/blat/autox event pending maybe? I go to the Dyno on Thursday, so all being well, Im hoping I will be back on the road again.

I think I already have that suspicion about that.

How about another driveshaft?

Bill

Any idea yet if you can get the driveshaft out without removing the engine & transmission? Pity you missed the 2nd day at Ft Macleod, nicer weather and warmer tyres (at least for the 2nd and 3rd run group, which wasn't us!).

Drive shaft is out and Im hoping to get in back early next week. Engine/tranny still in place. Need to build some safety hoops into the tunnel when I get the drive shaft back.

just a heads up to all the Alberta 7 guys and others out there.

Stewart, alias Z3 Stalker has sold his Stalker.

We hope to see you back, in a 7 some time in the future, all the very best to you and the Boss.

I'm still waiting for my drive shaft. I'm hoping for today though.

Bill

Hopefully you can get it back on the road this weekend, unfortunately it doesn't look much like good blatting weather. Have to do a bit of work on the Caterham too, some rough running that it has been experiencing seems to be getting worse, getting spikes in the TPS voltage between closed and a quarter throttle according to data logging I did on the weekend. Just got a new TPS sensor today, so hopefully that will fix the issue.

I got the drive-shaft today, so Im hoping to make up and install some safety hoops and repair the paneling and also the rear brake line and hand brake assembly in the near future. I also have some backfiring issues on decel which I need to address when I get the car back on the road.

cheers,

That's good that you're making progress. Looks like I've got a bit more work to do, too. Not just a simple issue of a failing TPS. The brand new one also has spikes with the same characteristics as the old one (typically 2 to 4 at a time 50 milliseconds or so wide, occurring every minute or two, but only when the TPS output is from the min 1.3V to about 2V), so I'll have to look at potential cross talk, grounding and other electrical noise issues.
