Went to an event up in Gary yesterday. Got 8 runs, four and four. It is a slippery sandy parking lot (asphalt). I was hopeless on cold tires and spun twice, but at the end of each session managed one good clean lap. I felt good about the results as my last run was fast and smooth.

I just found the posted results. I was beaten out for FTD by a fast shifter kart.;) As an unopposed D mod I was scored in a PAX class and was classified 5th with the shifter kart right ahead of me.;)

Update to my autocross season:

I ran as many events as possible. The fellow I bought the car from, Jeff Cashmore won his 10th national title in it in September, the sixth by him in this car. I got beat by a bunch of old men and children...(just kidding about the children). His wife also won running my car the first day and second day running the latest creation from its builder, Del Long.

As he crossed the finish line on his first run of the second day of competition a rod bolt let go. Although another competitor beat his second day singletary (he made two more runs in Del's newest car) time he had enough of a lead to win overall.

I am in the process of rebuilding the motor just like it was but with a few improvements.....a bit more compression and lighter rods. I am hoping to modify the car to add aero to match or beat the aero on the car that beat us the second day.

The red car is another seven replica built by Del Long with some serious aero on front and rear. The top picture is of Jeff driving my car from before I owned it. It still looks just like this.
