slngsht Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 This is eye opening Look at the flex in the rear frame compared to Silverado and F150. Although I've never felt compelled to buy a Ford product, it looks like it has the stiffest frame of the 3... or at least the softest shocks
Donnie Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Amazing!! Not in the market for a PU but the mid frame flex is intriging. How do they do that? Don
Donnie Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 :_deadhorse: Googled "frame flex" and got lots of interesting stuff. ie. http://forums.caranddriver.com/auto/board/message?board.id=6&thread.id=73055&page=2 Seems that Ford uses a fully boxed frame whereas Toyota opts for a C section. Never would have thought that frame flex could be that dramatic, having always owned those rigid British cars  Don
