James A Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Anyone have a 3.92:1 crown wheel and pinion for a Sierra 7" diff they would like to sell? I see multiple sources in the UK but wonder if there are some sitting in a corner here in the US.

I need to look back at the gear charts and I think it makes the 4-5 shift happen about 10mph lower, so when the lose the 1500 rpm (and 20hp) it happens a speed where the it is easier for the car to still accelerate back up to the hp peak. It does make second totally unusable on the track however. I have a lightweight, ISF surface treated 4.11 I'm not using now.
James A Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 I agree on the 4.1 ratio and that is what we will be using most of the time, I was going to put he 3.97 in a spare diff. If you are interested in selling the 4.1 I am interested in buying it! Just PM me with the details. Thank you Mike!
