cmoist Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 I'm looking for a source for wider front fenders. I've been running the OE Birkin fenders over 15x7 wheels, but have moved to 15x9 wheels. with 23.0 x 9.5-15 Hoosiers mounted. Needless to say, the OE Birkin fenders no longer cover the wheels. I've seen some folks sourcing fenders for their locost builds and was wondering if anyone had a good source for something that could be made to work. Fabricating new mounting brackets is fine, but I'd prefer to source a fender that's close.
JPS Europa Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 I don't think you will find anything off the shelf that wide in the Locost world. What we usually do is take one of the available fiberglass fenders and split it, then glass it back together at the desired width. You can give jack at Kinetic a call and see if he can help you. He might be willing to do the work for you if he has nothing to suit on the shelf. I am assuming you are talking cycle fenders.
RoyzMG Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I got a nice set of front and rear fenders from Fenders-N-More. They are aluminum, but you'll have to add your own fender mounts. Cheers, Roy http://www.fendersnmore.com/index.php
MightyMike Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 You may have some luck here... http://www.kineticvehicles.com/parts.html
