JVL Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Hi all, I have a bitsa 7 with what I've identified as an English Ford banjo axle. I'm looking to reseal it and replace the drum brake components just to cross the rear end off my list. I'm trying to collect as much information as I can about the car. Could anyone tell me what kind of car my axle was used in? (Sierra, Cortina, Anglia, all of the above?) Casting numbers on the carrier are: N12 105E 4025B 8022 I can take measurements and post pictures if needed. Axle is out of the car on the bench, I haven't pulled anything apart just yet. thank you -Jim
Nick OTeen Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 That rear axle was used on the Ford Anglia (the 105E designation - the 4-cylinder engine used in the Anglia - being the giveaway) and was also used in later vehicles including the Cortina.
