Many of you know about us at Rocky Mountain Caterham though some may not be aware that we have six new Caterhams coming in this summer (2019). Four of the current inbound Caterhams are currently spoken for, but we have two inbound chassis that are available as inventory kits, in addition to two that were part of the ex-Caterham USA stock. We will be building and maintaining two demonstrators, so that means we have two kits available for immediate sale.

Here is the first one we want to tell you about; stay tuned for more.

Brand new Caterham 310 S. June 2019 factory build date.

Arrival to USA sometime late summer 2019, much sooner than the 1+ year wait for a new Caterham kit. We have six new Caterham chassis being built this month (June 2019) and coming over on a container, so this is a fantastic opportunity to get a new Caterham kit at the current (and very favorable) GBP:USD exchange rate, with the additional benefit of bulk/discounted shipping costs.

This particular Caterham has been spec'd as a "sweet spot" Seven; being true to the traditional 7 ethos of simplicity and lightness, with just the right amount of power to go with the handling. The 152bhp Sigma is approximately 50 pounds lighter than a Duratec powered Caterham, making it even sharper to steer, with a crisper turn-in thanks to the reduced frontal mass.

In keeping with the mission profile of being flexible/versatile, the Sport suspension keeps the more comfortable damper/spring rates of the standard street suspension but adds the wide-track front geometry, adjustable ride-height collars, and adjustable rear swaybar, which allows the owner the option of future handling upgrades (uprated dampers/ springs, trackday wheels/tires, etc) without sacrificing initial road comfort or getting used to the Seven for a while first with a more forgiving setup. This 310 also comes with full weather gear, including hood, side curtains, and tonneau cover, for road use.

This 310 is the essence of a modern 7; comfortable for touring, yet highly competent at track days, being not only rapid enough but forgiving to drive, and easy on consumables. The 310 is the Seven that the factory has said, if they had to limit themselves to constructing only one model ever again, it would be this one.
