Kitcat
I have signed up to do a track day on Labor Day, Monday September 3 at Gingerman Raceway (in New haven, MI (www.gingermanraceway.com). I consider Gingerman to be the ultimate 7 track: all twisties/turns, no real straight where my 100 mph top speed becomes an issue. I have only been there once before and that was in my Evo, where I was maxing out at around 95 mph (as opposed to 130 mph at Mid Ohio). Cost is $140 (amazingly cheap) for around 90-120' of track time (4 run groups cycling thru). Lunch is provided. If interested, go to 3ballsracing.com to register. I'd love to see other LiSS's there. Gingerman's web page has a brief slide show featuring cars that have tracked there and it includes a shot of 2 Ultralites dueling for the lead. Kitcat
Track report: Beautiful weather. The track was made for Sevens-all twisties. Thus my hp disadvantage was offset by my handling advantage. I was the fastest in my advanced intermediate run group. Other than a few minor issues, car made the 700 mile round trip and 100 on-track miles with no problem. And the car received non-stop adulation. The young female night clerk at the Holiday Inn Express insisted I leave it under the canopy by the front desk so she could "keep an eye on it" overnight.
