Ready to Race, Rally or just have fun on the street.

SVRA/VSCCA/HSR/CASC/ VARA/VARAC eligible. Has SVRA, VSCCA and CASC log books and has passed the stringent SVRA Gold Medallion award for period correct preparation. Former Canadian (CASC) champion and winner of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand. The car has participated in several of the Watkins Glen reenactments, Lime Rock charity runs, is currently registered in NYS and wears historic plates. Regularly street driven to car shows, "support" transportation at the track and ice cream runs...

Restored in the mid 80’s when it was reskinned and the frame was replaced. At that time it lost its original frame ID tag and the originality cannot be documented.  Still maintains its original 4 wheel drum brakes with Ford 8” twin leading shoe fronts and Triumph Herald rack and pinion steering. Continuously updated and improved, never bent. Excellent tubular space frame chassis, polished alloy body with cycle fenders and polished alloy tonneau. Per the previous owner write up on Race-Cars > “Highly tuned 948 BMC engine, bored to 1027cc, forged high compression pistons, prepared rods, steel billet crank, aluminum flywheel, full race cam, extensively ported and polished big valve 1275 head, race prepared H1 SUs, headers, balanced, baffled sump, rim flow valves, 1275 competition clutch. Very wide torque band. NOT a peaky race engine.

Straight cut, close ratio trans, Spriget differential with alloy housing, special racing hardened axle shafts, updated roll bar with reinforced rear structure around Aluminum fuel cell and removable Petty bar, dual master brake cylinder, racing harnesses, 60 spoke wire wheels, oil cooler, electrical cooling fan, Spax adjustable shocks, straight pipe and muffled SS exhaust systems.”

Resent current owner improvements – Hoosier Vintage TD tires. New adjustable AVO rear shocks and springs. Brake system completely updated with new performance brake shoes, dual master cylinder, new Frt & Rr. wheel slave cylinders and SS brake lines, clutch master and slave cylinder with new hydraulic line. Dual period correct Aero wind screens with Dot mirrors. Canvas tonnue cover. Pertronix Flame Thrower ignition. Suspension scaled and alignment. Additional fresh RJ Built 948 Race engine available.

Starts right up. Shines like chrome. Reliable fun car.
