MV8
I enjoy supporting members with electrical diagnosis, but to my knowledge, no schematics have been published by Cat or openly shared by their dealers since about 2014 (a ten year vacuum of support for second owners who have a "right to repair"). Feel free to provide schematics to me via private messaging. I will not post the schematic or share the source.

I will not post the schematic or share the source. this is also true (but even more so because of the vast amount of electronics) in virtually all makes after the year 2000. we are buying autos comprised of an assembly of blocks just like the old Japanese transistor radios in the 60s, just much more expensive. we are not only not allowed to work on our cars- but we who know how cannot afford the time to do a postmortem and reverse engineer the parts in order to keep them still going. it actually started in the 60s. I have a 2007 highlander hybrid that is not that complex, and a full set of factory Toyota manuals (26 lbs of them) that show very little electrical documentation, but do instruct the mechanics how to remove the box and replace it at the cost of several hundred dollars, when the actual problem is a poorly designed multi conductor cable deep inside the "box or unit". We the people are getting hosed!!
MV8
Not everything, at least not yet. I bought my wife a '14 Mazda 2/Demio 5spd that is basically a newer version of my '93 323 5spd. Very basic and the schematics are good.
speedwagon
My 86 rx-7 was the most pleasant car to work on. Sold my Miata NA (cause it was hurting my back) and bought a Jag xj8, what an owners delight! sic. Like the Superformance and the Rotus based car. john
MV8
The NA seats hurt my back also. I don't think they were made for six footers. I removed the center backrest insert (it is a separate piece) and removed the hog rings holding the lower cover to access the bottom cushion, to cut off a lump across the bottom cupped by the steel frame. The result was I sat much lower and more comfortably. I sat low enough to use the armrest instead of the top of the door, and I could see out of the windshield much better. I had left over hog rings and the pliers from Mr. Mikes leather seats for the fiero. I also have an NB which is a better fit. I put 2000 protege seats in the 323 (not a direct bolt-in without fab and welding) which has a lot of room under the hood for service.
