RickRa Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Lovely 2015 model in Caterham F1 livery with Sigma engine, lowered floor, detachable steering wheel and 6 speed gear box. Runs beautifully. Includes uninstalled lightweight flywheel. $40k.
Anaximander Posted March 30 Posted March 30 You might want to put where the car is located, and how many fun miles are on it, and if you had been racing it.
RickRa Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 The car is in Pontiac MI with 1200 miles on the odometer. Driven a few dozen times on the M1 Concourse circuit. Well maintained and in great condition.
Cranky Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Beautiful car. Can you tell me more about it? Are those 14" wheels? Does it have harnesses or belts? LSD? Is the 6 speed a sequential? S3 or SV? I'm flying up to MI in a couple of weeks. If it hasn't sold, I'd like to stop by and check it out. I'm more in the market for a 360, but this is such a gorgeous car that I'm interested.
RickRa Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 It has four point Sabelt harnesses, a non-sequential six speed, and an S3 chassis. It does not have a limited slip differential. It includes a roof and side curtains, a quick release wheel, a spare set of tires and a Garmin lap analysis device. I would love for you to try it out, Cranky!
Cranky Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM I stopped by and checked out the car. It is a real beauty. I think it is the nicest looking Caterham I've ever seen. Rick has done a great job taking care of it. Special thanks to Rick. He was very gracious. His garage is incredible. The upstairs is like an F1 museum. Lots of cool memorabilia. So why didn't I get it? I'm in the middle of building an airplane. I desperately miss having a 7 in my life, but after a lot of soul searching, I decided that this was not the time to bring one back. But if I was going to get one, this would be the one. The car looked amazing. I didn't drive it because I was afraid that I would get too emotionally attached, so I can't say anything about how it drives. But Rick seemed like a really good guy. Judging by his garage, he's very meticulous and takes care of his things. I hope that the car goes to a good home.
