Ford Transmission Speedo Blanking Core Plugs

For those interested in eliminating the speedo cable, on the T9, possibly the Escort 4 speed,  these 5/8" core plugs fit the speedo hole to seal it off.

Dorman # 555-011 Zinc plated steel.

 

I have not drifted one into the case yet, so I don't know it it will crack, but Bearing Kits has been selling these for the purpose, I assume they have done it enough to vouch for the method.  I have a junk tail to practice on. Will update with result.

I have 10 now. PM if you want one. But for $5 on Amz, it costs the same to buy your own.
