Contents:

1 Hella 3rd brake light package w/ gray wires

1 Caterham 3rd brake light bracket (black), pre-cut double sided tape, and thicker threaded spare wheel mount & nut(?).

1 Caterham light harness Y splitter

1 caterham misc package. spade clips, shrink wrap, zip ties, rivet, etc.

For Caterhams with rear exit exhaust on driver's side. if side exit, consider using side that does not have fuel pump!

1. Mount 3rd brake light bracket. remove spare wheel. unbolt spare wheel mount and install new mount. If no spare wheel, make hole into boot thru rear panel.

1a. jack rear of car up. look at area next to gas tank for oem brake light harness to rear passenger brake light. try to fit hand in this area next to fuel pump to release light harness. Curse Caterham. regret not having installed when car was built and lacked fuel tank.

1b. look at supplied instructions. wonder who u know who spreken ze deutche! Curse Caterham.

2. open Hella light, attach gray wires to metal tabs. thread wires thru bottom of light. close light.

3. clean top of light bracket. undo bottom of tape. attach to bracket. undo top of tape. attach light threading wire thru hole.

4. thread wire thru one of the hollow uprights of the bracket.

5. attach Y harness to body section from 1a. try to attach other side of harness to rear passenger light harness.

6. route wiring from 3rd brake light to bottom of car. figure out approximate length of wire to meet female spade clips on Y harness. cut grey wire. slide weather boots over wire, crimp/solder male spade clips to gray wires. attach to female clips. shrink wrap wrap where appropriate.

7. test brake lights and turn signal/hazard signals(combination light).
