Just a little rain in SoCal (Ventura)

Well we finally received a little rain in the Ventura, Ca. area today which is nice for all of us and especially the fire fighters as it sure will help them get the fires under control. We really could use a couple of days of just a steady light drizzle / rain to really get everything back to normal, not a lot as then we would have mud slides in the burned areas and the people that live in those areas would have even more problems than what they now have to deal with.

That bright spot is the sun as seen from my backyard that day. What looks like a bird on the wire in the lower left is actually a chunk of ash the landed on the lense of the camera as I took this photo. I would guess that we had a 32nd of an inch of ash on everything that was not exposed to the wind. Glad to see it coming to an end.
