Maz:

As I spent the week in 70 deg weather lookin at the waves, working on my suntan, I want to make sure that you don't think that I have forgotten about you. I went to a car show and I think that I have a great idea for your problem of going hoodless! I'm posting the following pictures.

This is a consertive approach.

This is the "raw" power image.

The color really matches the whole car.

I think that this is the "cat's meow". The most important parts are available @ your local Home Depot.

Last one

I can easily do the others. I think the best one would be the aussie Holden cover, which is a one piece job across the engine, rather than 2 cosmetic valve covers.

I'm SO far from that point

Is this more of the look that you're looking for?

150 horses, come on.....IIRC this drag engine was supposed to make over 1300 hp. However, as displayed at the Arts Center show in Pasadena it was obvious the engine was never turned on. Maybe just a show piece. In case nobody noticed this is a Mercedes V8....But you are right, lot of plumbing.

You mean like this?

Twin turbo LSx in stock bodied (not tube frame) vette - pegged dyno at 1500 with a little more left in the tank.

Seriously though, more power will be coming. I think I can actually use the extra mustard. But I'm going to stay normally aspirated. My car is heavy enough as is - no need to add more parts to it.
