DB6 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hi, I need 4 wheel center caps for these wheels, the hole diameter is 2 and 3/8 inch and a real pain to find, they push in from the rear and are just held in place when the wheel is tightened.. The car is on 4 new Toyo RA1 185/60/13 V rated, they run @ $120.00, any one have any luck with the Sumitomo 185/60/13,s , the run @$40.00 each and got good reviews at Tire Rack. I also have an unused Good Year 185/60 /13 G800 Grand Prix s to get rid of.any reasonable offer will work.. I am even starting to think about not even carrying a spare, is it really worth the extra weight, the scissor jack, the messy hands, what about jsut carrying a fix a flat, that would then allow me to use the tire bracket as a luggage hoder.Any thoughts? PS, what pressure is good for street use? Thanks a lot. David Bowes By the way how come I am not allowed to advertise or reply to ads in the items for sale forums? Am I on probation? I have waited 30 years to get this car and need all the help I can get from experienced owners but I appear to be on restriced use?, is this normal??
Al N. Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 DB6...welcome and congrats on the new ride! Some explanation: To give dues-paying club members (ie. the folks who keep this forum and the club behind it running) some benefits that were not available to non-paying forum users, the officers of the club (of which I am one) decided to restrict certain parts of the site. In an effort to streamline the member fulfillment process (I'm working on it, folks!), we had an "open enrollment period" from June 7 to Aug 7. The people who signed up for the club in that period will get the swag and privileges mentioned in this post: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=2553 Of course, you can become a member after the enrollment period, but your membership will still expire on July 7 (7/7/XX, get it?!?) of the following year. Also, we cannot guarantee that you will get a club sticker in a timely manner or at all after the enrollment period. As the club is run by volunteers who have day jobs, we were trying to limit the amount of time spent fulfilling memberships in any given year. This way, it's a mad dash for a few weeks in August (aka. right now) as opposed to dribs and drabs throughout the year. Apologies for the inconvenience... Al N. Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Regarding street pressure, all the cool kids seem to run between 18 and 22 on the street. Correct me if I'm wrong fellas...
DB6 Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 19 PSI is the word I have gotten from several sources, you are bang on Al .Cheers
