sparecr
I sort of want to thank you guys for having such bad days. It should make most of us realize no matter how crappy our day is it always could be worse.
solder_guy
... my girlfriend ... had to wait 3 hours ... and another 3 for some painkillers and antibiotics. ... All of this while the nurses joked and bitched with a nearly empty waiting room. ... I'm sorry to hear that your GF and others have bad experiences in ERs .. I too get angry when I see nurses and doctors laughing and telling jokes while patients are waiting to be seen and for their needs to be addressed. I frequently go to the waiting room to introduce myself and apologize to those who are waiting .. They have no idea how many ambulances are arriving at the back door. And I ask staff to keep patients informed about delays. Patients often tell me that they appreciate our efforts to keep them informed about delays. And although more people are using the ER as a clinic .. we still see the emergiencies first. A bladder infection is not as critical as someone having a heart attack or a stroke, it is still an emergency. Rob ER Doc.
