BCBirk Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Howdy, Just had a shiny Birkin S3 (built in 04') delivered, and I'm now totally addicted while my wife is now totally pissed --it's all about balance... I'm currently sorting a few issues including a small leak from an axle seal. Would anyone know what make / model that the 'standard' S3 solid axle would originate from? Cheers, -P
soareyes Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I've been told the Birkin rear axle is off a Toyota Hiluxe microvan available in S. Africa and Japan, but not in N. America. When my rear axle leaked, Woody Harris (former US Birkin importer) used a Napa seal to fix the leak. The Napa part number is 11585. It has not leaked since! (almost 4 years now)
