7s in Wisconsin

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to the group. I have been interested and curious about 7s for a long time, but have never had the opportunity to see one in person. I live in Appleton, WI. Are there any members in the WI area that would be willing to let me see their cars?

Thanks,

Matt

I'll be driving my SV to Wisconsin from Cali later this year, around mid-August. I'll be about 1/2 hour away from Appleton in Brillion. If you're still interested at that time I'm sure we could meet and greet.

Hi Robert,

Thanks that would be great. It's cool to know that people do long trips like that. Look forward to meeting you.

Thanks,

Matt

My BEC seven will be at the Historic races at Road America in mid-July.

Thanks TurboBird. That looks like a really fun event. Unfoturnately, I will be in Truckee, CA that weekend.

Thanks,

Matt

Hello,

I've been on the LocostUSA site for a while now and just lurking over here but after reading this thread, I joined.

I live in Appleton too and would love a chance to sit in a Lotus Sevenesque car. I have worries about fitting in a book sized frame with my size 12.5 shoes and being 6'-1". I have already started collecting parts and just need to figure out which one of McSorley's plans to use for the locost frame.

I don't think 12.5's will fit in mine. My 8.5's sometimes hit the brake and gas at the same time. I think you will need more room. A Stalker is only marginally better than mine. Russ

You can try the Chinese method:

I think I'll just raise the top of the foot wells to suit me when I build my chassis.

Slomove: Nice car and nice website.

I'm 6'2" with size 12 skis on the ends of my legs. That's one of the reasons I picked the SV as the chassis for me. I got to sit in both a series 3 type (even got to drive it) and an SV to see how I fit. No question for me, SV was the way to go. Driving the S3 I had to do no shoes just socks due to space constraints. Not so with the SV, I wear my regular Vans slip-ons when blatting.

If your offer still stands, I'm still very interested in checking out your car. Any idea when you'd be available? Or I can PM you my phone number and you can call when you're here and have some free time?
