  1. I was filling up my Locost at a gas station one day and a guy came up behind me and said "I bet you get good gas mileage in that thing?". I said , without looking up, "Not the way I drive". I then turned around and it was a cop!!!!! Russ

  9. I rarely take my bonnet off. As for kids I always let them sit in it. But I make sure the main kill switch is turned off and taken out. One of my favorite tricks is when a parent asks if their child can sit in my car I say"SURE". Then as they are starting to get in I say"it's not mine". Then I have a big laugh. TeeHee. Russ

  11. I'm shocked at this but not surprised. Skip and I were good friends. He came to the first Midwest Se7ens Gathering back in 2008 in KC. My wife and I have stayed at his house. He had one hell of a garage workshop. We had one of his infamous canyon drives with his buddies and me with my 1300cc Xflow powered Locost holding up the pack. I will miss his funny emails and sending ones back to him. He took my wife for a ride in his C8 and scared her to death a few years ago. RIP old friend, Russ

  23. I don't know if the valves have hardened seats.
  24. Incidentally the head does not have domed squish areas. It is all flat. So pistons need valve recesses.
