This type of thing confirms that I have absolutely zero comrehension of how the hell F1 works.

 

From an outside perspective I read this as: Billy said he was gonna come play, and gave us a ball to use, now Billy realizes he has to be home for dinner and can't come play, so we're going to keep his ball, but he can't play with us ever again, so there!

On the same BBC page that Skip posted, read the other related articles about F-1. As usual, Bernie fast talked a lot of banks into giving him money but he wants others to pay them back.

So what happens if USF1 doesn't pay the fine? They are already banned from all future events.

The fine is equal to the deposit they already paid to Bernie. USF1 has said they will not appeal the decision so it is a done deal.
