Is there anyone in the Portland area who owns a 7 and would be willing to let me take a look at it and maybe take me for a ride? I'd buy you some coffee or beer, whichever you prefer. Thanks in advance.

Portland, Oregon or Portland, Maine or Portland, Texas or Portland, New York....just teasing....someone will post up soon that is close by you in Portland, Oregon. I use to live in Newberg, OR. and their were a couple of 7's in the area so you should be able to get a ride and look. If your in Ventura, CA. I am avaiable as that is were I am and my car is now.

There is Jim Fluckiger with a Caterham who lives in Grant's Pass. Maybe you can shoot him a Private Message (member name Jim F.)

It's your lucky day! I live in Portland (more like Rainland) and that is Oregon. I currently have my car set up for the track (no windshield, DOT/R tires, no headlights or front turn signals). Send me a PM maybe we can figure something out.

McDougal;

I'm the Jim F. (Jim Fraser) from Grants Pass that Gert's referring to in his post. Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to arrange a meet-up with you if you're going to be down my way anytime. '03 Caterham DeDion Roadsport, TWM/Pectel Zetec, LSD, wide track, cycle fenders, removeable suede Racetech, cloth Cat. seats w/headrests, and a few more options/goodies. Only street driven (so far).

Hey Jim, sorry for mixing up names. I believe there is a Seven owner named (Jim?) Fluckiger somewhere. Obviously not Grant's Pass, though.....

homebrew - I sent you a PM. Let me know if you didn't get it and I'll send another one. I'm hoping to come take a look at your car if possible.

homebrew,

what kind of racing are you doing in the portland area (road racing, autocross, etc...)?

who are you racing with in the portland area (SCCA, etc..) and what class?

Did you build your car?

Thanks, Jim

I do track days, not actual wheel to wheel raicng. This year I've been at 2 Cascade Sports Car Club HPDE days at PIR and just got back from my 3rd track day with Team Continental at Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley. Both of those clubs are affiliated with ICSCC.

I've only done one SCCA autox and didn't really care for it, just not enough speed and a lot more expensive if you work it out in minutes on course.

Yes, I built my car from the ground up, no kit.

Homebrew, do you have a build site?

what part of town are you in?

Thanks, Jim
