boss351
Does anyone know who's 7 this is and what type of 7 it is? I didn't attend the December Coffee and Cars in Houston, but found this picture on the web that someone had posted.. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk27/adamgx50/133124_1769329952376_1213020128_32099401_793681_o.jpg
MHKflyer52
To me it looks like it could be a CMC 7 or a Locost. From the rims I would say it is Miata powered and most likely a CMC 7. CMC was a small company that was in Florida and made a 7 clone using a Miata as its donner vehicle while they were in business. I have seen three completed CMC car and they are a good buy for the money I think. Keith Tanner of Flying Miata has one and I think his was featured in several magazines such as GRM. Nice looking 7 from what I can see. Wish the glare was not as bad in the photo.

MHKflyer52
wkeeling, Nice. Miata powered. My car is MGB powered 1800cc, B transmition, B rear diff modified a lot, B front spindles etc..just because that is what I had for a donor and I did not want to have over 1800cc. Knowing now what I do about Miata's I would use a Miata for a donor if I were to build another one mainly because I have one a Miata and it gets driven more than the other cars I have. There are not a lot of us that have scratch built our cars. I like the photo were the car is sitting on jack stands with no upper A-arms or front spindles as that is probably the only way I did not ever support my car when I was building it. I did balance it on a 2"x 6" x 1/4"wall tube down the center to paint the frame. I bet you remember that first drive just like it was yesterday (referring to the photo of you standing next to your car with the 7 SMILE that we all have). :cooldude:
