Brunton Stalker Foot Room?

Recommended Posts

I wear a size 9 and can drive with sneakers or loafers for street use. I wear Puma Speed Cats for racing because I find it much more to my liking.

Lots of room in the Stalker footwell. Many of the Stalker owners wear a size or two shoe size larger than than me and have no problem.

Others with larger shoe sizes have co-driven my car in SCCA autocross without any trouble.

I agree with Jack. I wear size 10 street shoes, and the footwell is no problem at all. I do like a narrower racing shoe when I autocross, since I do left foot braking and it can get a bit crowded down there.

Gary,

I gott'a start learning how to left foot brake... I know most all the fast guys have figured it out.

I win! I have size 13's and I manage just fine. My Stalket is actually pretty comfortable. About the only change I will make is to extend the steering wheel about 4" to not make it tight when the clutch is released. Otherwise it is the roomiest 7 I have sat in.

Have you sat in a Caterham SV? If so, how would you compare the two, in terms of size/comfort?

Width wise in the seating area about the same. Leg room length seems a bit longer in the Stalker. Footwell width in the SV may even be slightly less but it is hard to tell. The brake and clutch pedals are mounted on the floor in the Stalker and are suspended from the top on the SV.

The standard Stalker felt roomier in most areas. I also got Dennis to ad 1 inch to my frame when it was made, which he said was doable. In a car small like a 7, every inch helps.
