Westfield Pre-Lit 7 frame #7

The Westfied offered in Maine (I tried to post details on the for sale site and got blocked since I am Unpaid). Was my first 7.

 

I sold it through racecars.com and the fellow picked it up at rush hour in DC and drove it home thru the night to Maine.

 

There were about 130 pre-lit cars built very few were LHD-they were copies of the S1/7-with several better features than the Caterhams of the same peroid-non-sway intergrated bar upper links on the front suspension, 4 fore/aft tubes in the trans tunnel (none on the caterhams) and a 5 link panhard rear suspension-rather than the horrid A frome of Lotus S2/3s

 

When delivered it had a 1275 MG engine with the non-synco box 1st gear box and a Datsun 210 rear, wire wheels, S1 fenders and nosecone. I replaced the drivetrain with a 1600 X-flow, ported head, twin Delorttos, single rail FMCO semi-CR box-the wheels were upgraded to 14 inch Magnesium Mini-lites with spline drive and knockoffs.

 

It was a good car-it must be 15plus years since I sold it. Have owned 3 7s since, no regrets
