boss351 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Does anyone know the correct size/spec for the 4 o-rings used on the single throttle body plenum that seal around the intake ports? Haven't been able to visually size match at the local hardware store, looks like I will need to order some.. Adam
MHKflyer52 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Hi Adam, I just googled "Duratec Intake o-ring size" and it appears to be a 2" o-ring. I would measure the old o-ring ID and OD and cross section width and then use the Parker O-Ring catolog to find the closest o-ring that fits. You might want to look at the temp range and slect the correct o-ring based on the size and tempature range most likely a Viton 2-136 found on page 228 of the catolog link that is below. http://www.parker.com/literature/ORD%205700%20Parker_O-Ring_Handbook.pdf Hope this helps.
boss351 Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Martin, thanks. I think it is the 2-033 (2" ID, 1/8" width). Got a link to where I could buy them online by any chance? Thanks. Adam
boss351 Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Don't worry, found them on Amazon! Viton 033 brings them up!
boss351 Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 For future reference, the o-rings are metric, 2-50 (50mm ID, 2mm thick).
