Un Unexpected Reduction in Wind Buffeting

As part of my Brooklands screen project I bought a pair of motorcycle mirrors and mounted them using the rear most mounting bolt hole for the windscreen and Brooklands. First I oriented the mirrors in the normal horizontal position but found I couldn't see much over the rear fenders. Then to see whether a couple of inches of height would make a difference, I turned the mirrors to a vertical position. Now I could see what I needed to although the width of the field of view was a little limited.

When I put the windscreen back on the car, I again mounted the MC mirrors. They overlap the perspex wind wings a bit and when I drove the car, I found the buffeting to my left ear to be greatly reduced. Now the right ear is getting more buffeting than the left but at about the same level as it was before.

The look of the vertical mirrors is a little odd but I am getting used to it.
