blubarisax
Hey there! Croc is right on the SV/CSR Tillet CF seats. I'm on the zone diet so I'll be able to fit. I'm a 40ish and the Tillets are just too tight in the hip bones. Anyway, they make a good motivation to diet... The Tillet seats do look marvelous. Guest speedcraft
ahhh...well here's the trick. the width is essentially the same with the S3/R500 carbon tillet and S3 leather seat as these fit exactly from interior panel to tranny tunnel...and the width is the same on the SV/CSR tillet CF seat between bolsters. what is different is the shape of these seats that makes the SV/CSR tillet CF feel bigger so when you start getting down to waist size, it depends on, ahem, how you're distributed around. best thing is just to sit in one and see what works. the only seat that i seem to swim around in is the leather SV seat on the track with hard cornering...the rest are pretty much the same except for some shape differences. i do agree...best way to drop weight off the car is off the driver. Alaskossie
I have a 36-inch waist (despite my best efforts), and the Tilletts in my S3 are comfortable over long distances (like 6100 miles total, or up to 550 miles a day), but admittedly there is little extra side room to spare. When I was building my Seven at Jeff Ball's garage in Greeley, Colorado, we ran a little experiment with my potential Seven passengers. We would place the unmounted Tillett on the floor, ask the passenger to sit in it, and then to stand up. If the Tillett came up with them when they stood, the Tillett was a press-fit, and that person was on the bubble as far as being a passenger of mine. Of course, some potential passengers simply high-centered in the Tillett, and never made it to the press-fit stage. My sister took one look at the seat on the garage floor, and said, "no way...!" Smart move on her part...
