Looking for a ride in BEC in Los Angeles/Orange County area

I'm considering a BEC purchase and would like to find a ride in one nearby. I live in Huntington Beach but am willing to travel to find a ride in what is likely a rare animal. The potential purchase is a Yamaha R1 Locost but any BEC will do for me to get a feel for the difference between bike engine and car engine.

 

For that matter where might I find a relatively local gathering of Sevens and possibly bum a ride?

Hi Aaron,

I do not have a BEC but I do have a 7 and if you want to check it out then let me know.

I live north of you in Ventura and if your up this way let me know and I will get the 7 out as it sits in the garage way to much and needs to be driven more often.

I don't know of any BECs in LA/Orange County, but I'd be happy to give you a ride in my Zetec powered Birkin. Also, FYI, there's a dealer in Newport Beach who has a Miata engined Birkin for $19,000, with the advantage that it's already in CA and already registered.
