bsimon
Here Looks like another alternative to Sadev, Quaife, and Elite. Probably just as pricey.
blubarisax
I wonder if it will be as noisy as the Quaife and Sadev gearboxes. Mog-Racing stocks the Sadev gearbox all setup as a bolt in kit for the Duratec Caterhams. I can attest to the fact that these are an absolute blast on the track. bsimon
I'm sure they are just as noisy, or more. Hewland only makes racing 'boxes. All square cut gears and such. Same as Elite and Sadev. Quaife's marketing strategy is a bit different. Quaife offers helical and synchronized gear sets in some 'boxes to placate the handful of street users that can afford their stuff. Klasik-69
I hate to ask a stupid question but ..................what is the advantage of a sequential shift tranny vs. the H pattern shift trannies ? I can understand the speed of shift thing if you're drag racing or driving a short track, maybe even autoX, but sometimes I like to shift from 4th down to 2nd without going to 3rd (Sebring turn 7). These cost anywhere from $6K to $9K and make a lot of noise.................are they bullet proof ? Maybe less HP losses ? Educate me.
