vetterestorer Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Need the plastic or fiberglass plenum that sits on the stock zetec throttle body on a 2000+/- Caterham or Birkin. Can be the type held on by two bolts or the type held on by a hose clamp. Mine split and I am down to I get another. Richard
Mike Rohaley Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Richard, I have one boxed up since I switched to a different intake system with the idea that I could return it to stock form should I seek originality at some point. If Caterham USA doesn't have one and you will be otherwise out of commision I would be willing to part with it. I would prefer to keep it if another source is out there for you but if not, you can contact me at: mrohaley @ oh.rr.com (ignore the spaces). -Mike It is off a 2001 Zetec VCT Caterham.
breezy7 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Is this a fit? http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262731
vetterestorer Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Thanks Mike, I will keep looking and get back to you either way. The stock Focus parts do not appear to be correct, from what I have found out so far, the part is used on Caterham and Birkins and probably others.. Richard
G2sound Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I just put a crated Zetec Z3 into my S1. I have the entire stock Ford intake including injectors sitting in a box as I am using ITB's. Is this what you were looking for, or is it specifically a Caterham part that you need?
vetterestorer Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Unfortunately, it is a custom part for Caterham and Birkin from what I have seen. Stock intake and throttle body and then the part I need which is very low profile plentum/air box. Thx., Richard
jlumba81 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Can you post a pic of the damaged intake plenum? Can it be taken to a local fiberglass shop to be repaired?
vetterestorer Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 I'll check and see if it is repairable. Richard
