biquet1957
Hello the guy Just a small question. Can you say to me which is the source of the wipper arme and blade for a birkin S3. It is possible to find these parts on other cars or they are manufactured exclusively for Birkin.??? Peter from Belgium Thank you for your answers
midgetracr
Check out the following on E Bay Peter. Or just search for "windshield wiper" on E Bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVERSAL-WINDSHIELD-WIPER-MOTOR-KIT-12V-STAINLESS-NEW-/390147022045?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ad6931cdd This looks like the one I have on my car although I think mine was purchased from Speedway Motors. Cannot find it at Speedway now. It is inexpensive, light, clamps to my windshield frame when needed and easily removed. I've had it for several years and used it many times. Good luck John Meyers
Z3 Stalker
John, I remember your wiper at 777/Ambush what an invention that was!!! it wiped the rain off the outside of the windshield then proceeded to do the inside and neither effectively I may add:) Stewart
midgetracr
Stewart, You should have been to the Ambush a couple of years ago. I almost drowned on the way to Two Wheels Only. That wiper worked throughout. Should have had a second one to wipe the rear of the windshield
biquet1957
Hello It is very comic all that. But my wipper arms and wiper blades come from another car. They were transformed. I must approve my BIRKIN in Belgium and I seek these parts. The arms were recut, folded and the blade are shortened. See the photographs thank you for your assistance. http://nsa28.casimages.com/img/2011/10/08/mini_111008032544880494.jpg http://nsa28.casimages.com/img/2011/10/08/mini_111008032750789744.jpg http://nsa27.casimages.com/img/2011/10/08/mini_111008033018499474.jpg http://nsa27.casimages.com/img/2011/10/08/mini_111008032920597963.jpg
rzempel
I believe the original Birkin wiper arms are shortened 1985 Volkswagen GTI units, and the blades are one 18" blade cut in half.
snookwheel
John, if it isn't too much trouble, could you post a couple pictures of the clamp you use to hold the wiper motor to your frame? Scott
midgetracr
Be glad to post a pic. Only problem is that we are out of town viewing fall leaves in Wisconsin. Be home by Tuesday and will get pix posted shortly after. It is very crude and only used when I am forced to drive in the rain. It is however effective on the front of the windshield.
