JohnK Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Cool, but that is the most obnoxious site I've ever visited. If Alfa's badge is a Shamrock, why are some workers wearing the Trident of Maserati on their shirts? I've just gotta start playing the lottery.
Kitcat Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Lovely car, but it sure reminds me of a Lotus Evora. I look forward to reading the road tests tho, like JohnK, from a financial standpoint, my interest is purely theoretical.
timax Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hmmm , John i think you need to read up on Alfa. The Alfa badge is actually based on the coat of arms of the Visconti family and the emblem of Milan, With a wreath around it to celebrate race wins etc etc etc. Changed many times over the years and worth a read. The "shamrock" your referring to is actually a 4 leaf clover not a 3 and is called a Quadrifoglio. It is found on Alfa race cars (and these days denotes power and trim levels) and was introduced after the death of a racer back when Enzo Ferrari was working for Alfa. As for the Masser shirts , well its being made at the Modena factory of Maserati. Remember the Fiat group own many of these brands. Some great history worth reading with these Italian makers. Tim
