ottocycle
Hello everybody, I am looking for a lightweight, cheap and functional muffler about 24' long with a 2.5" i.d. Used is OK, dents/scratches are OK (it will be covered up). Any ideas? Cheers, Dermot.
ptrxly
Any super bike shop hould have some used cans as that is what most owners repace first, with a louder aftermarket system. I snagged a Titanium can from a Kawasaki ZX12R for $50.CDN from the first shop I went to. It works great for for my 180 HP Hayabusa powered Seven. BusaLoco
Hi Peter, I haven't done the can upgrade yet. ... Still wearing ear plugs. By the way, I was looking at the super7cars.com website and noted that they wrap their own looms. Working with the existing loom has been OK but I have been toying with the idea of laying out a loom that will be a custom fit for our car. I think it might make a good winter project. I really would like to clean up the tangle of wires behind the dash.
slomove
Painless Performance harnesses have been used by several Seven owners with good success. Not exactly cheap but top quality PEX insulated color coded and numbered wires with individual function printed on each wire. The harness does not require prep/bundling but is bundled starting from the fusebox "as you go". Some pictures from my install here. I used the microfuse remote 14-circuit harness. Total installation was maybe 2 weekends and some evenings. Schematic and wiring table here. Gert
BusaLoco
Pretty cool cockpit rebuild, I must say. What I am talking about is that with our Hayabusa powered 7 we have used the bike loom and have added all the extra goodies onto the loom. On the bike there were a lot of extra sensors associated with the air box and other unused bike wiring that is not suited to or measured to fit our car. ... I've made it work but I'm not satisfied. I know that I can do it better. I have the Hayabusa bible so there's no trouble mapping and that way I can place everything where I want (not just where I can make it fit).
