ultraslow
Is there any source that details, hopefully with pictures, the details and installation of a Non-FIA rollbar? I have a S3 live axle. Caterham does not sell the S3/live axle version anymore. I want to have one fabbed but I have not seen another Seven on the road in Northern New Mexico so as to see how they are shaped or how they attached the bar to the shock towers. Also, does anybody know of a shop in the ABQ-SF New Mexico area that could fab a bar for me? I tried Red Mountain in the UK but they were having trouble with their suppliers. I really like them, But,... However, before I can think about having tube bent, I need to see one in the flesh. I can MIG/TIG it up if needed. All help gladly appreciated. ultraslow Edited October 4, 2013 by ultraslow change syntax an structure to better make sense.
rx7locost
Once you get the details worked out, I can recommend Roll Cage Components at rollcagecomponents.com. Jimmy there does a great job and is very economical. He made the roll bar for my Locost to my specs and shipped it flat pack (I had to weld it up). The Stig
I also have an '85 Live Axle so happy to take a few pictures and email them over. PM me your email address and I'll do it over the weekend. As much as I can I'll get dimensions for you but don't rely on them to have anything made! May also be worth trying a few UK sites for used rollbars as many people switched to the FIA version. Blatchat or Pistonheads sometime has them - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/parts-and-plates/parts-and-accessories/caterham or Ebay of course. Even if you need to get it Powedercoated, could be the best option.

Paul Hill
There is a very early ('76?) Caterham short cockpit S3 taking up space in my garage. Could take pics/measurements if this matches your car.
