slngsht
trailer thread? Well, I made no such promise. After alot of searching and being indecisive about what to do, I picked up a used trailer yesterday. It's a 16 foot double axle (1 with brakes) open trailers. I will need new fenders and lights, but I figured at $1100, it's a good deal. She has near-new tires, brake master and slaves. It has stow-away ramps, but they store on the side, not the back. It has a few nice features, such as built-in chucks and built-in racheting tie downs. It also has a mounting place for a winch (I just picked one up from harbor freight for $39 - it will probably only work once  ) She is already sandblasted and primed. I put about 90 miles on it with no load, and it pulls nicely.
slngsht
Here are some pics... In the first one, you see the only damaged part of the trailer... the side rail on the left of the pic was bent due to too much load - the support leg used to on that side. As you see on the right, it is now braced. I think I will just leave that alone... trailer looks perfectly straight (I followed it for 30 miles). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1637369053_CIMG1611 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1153286791_CIMG1612 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1732309953_CIMG1613 (Small).JPG
