  1. Penalised heavilly for my erratic average speed. I was supposed to lap with exacltly the same time, over 6 laps.
  2. Playback at 10x speed. Took part in a regularity classic car event in a military airport near Athens. I was supposed to circulate at a steady speed, but instead gunned it and had massive fun.... and came last with loads of penalty points.

  5. In most scenes it does not look odd, unless you are filming something very close. look at the opening seconds 0:16-0:26 of this video, when the car exits the garage. There is a five stage zoom function that probably lessens the effect, though I have not tried it.
  6. I love it. It's very light and compact, so fits in tight places more easily. The built in screen is great for getting exactly the right frame, and the rotating lens is very helpfull when mounting the camera on strange places. The image quality is very good, but you are stuck with the very wide angle lens 170 degrees of vision. It has a standard thread tripod mount system , so you canuse any kind of photo camera tripod, monopod etc... It's splashproof and I think that is enough for car based videos. If you want to go scuba diving you can buy a case. The few negative aspects are the lousy microphone at speed, the remote control is not very reliable and the mic jack is 2.5 mm so I have to use an addaptor to fit the usual 3.5 mm microphone jacks.
  7. A few of my favourites http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Seven/1.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Seven/IMG_0794-1-1.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Mykonos%20Rally/mykonos039.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Seven/seven008-2.jpg
  8. I have a Drift HD camera, but have the same issues. I bought an external mic, no known brand, but it did have its own battery and a 3 meter cord (about 10 feet). I taped it on the rear wing right next to the exhaust tip. There is room for improvement, but way way better than the mic on the camera. I now want to try fitting it on or near the Webers, inside the engine bay.

The Mini is a Cooper S replica. Its been mine for 18 years now. We've been through a lot. It's now used maily for trackdays. The Alfa is a 1973 Spider 2000. Lovely touring car. Comfortable, stylish and fast. I take part in regularity rallies with it.
  10. Hi Ronnie, mike wirth here, if you would like I could email you the Sept 1962 road test from R&T to you, you can look at the front page of it in my album, there are 4 pages. I am hoping to construct one like yours staying true to the original design.

  11. Filmed on the cold morning the 1st of Jan 2012. You have to start the year on a high.....
  12. Hello from Athens. Here is my pride and joy. A restored, unmodified, 1962 Lotus Super Seven S2, powered by the 109E 1340cc Cosworth tuned engine. It uses the Standard 10 rear axle and stops through 4 drum brakes. I had been looking for a Seven (Lotus or Caterham) for many years, but when this one came up for sale in the UK, I jumped on a plane a bought it. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Seven/seven032-2.jpg I use it mainly for Sunday Morning runs, regularity rallies, and the occasional trackday.
