  1. From the inventor himself! Yes it is a great car, thank you Dennis for your innovation and brilliant engineering! The car is incredibly fast, it will smoke the tires all the way through 2 and 3rd, and by that time I am looking for more road, as it is running out very fast. It is a great combination of speed, handling, thrills and shopvac style hair removal. I will make a few changes to accommodate my height. I highly other replica owners check out the stalker, it is a great product, and takes the 7 replica to another level of performance.... (now where the hell do the golf clubs go???... oh yeah, in the minivan!) cheers, Robin.
  2. Great article... Wait, You're in Alaska!!! Where is your article?!? "Carving up the Chugach" Robin.
  3. Still got those tillet seats for sale? I am looking for seats for my super stalker. Robin.

  5. It is very well built. The Stalker builders have their own "owner only" forum, so that maybe why there aren't more owners here. Registration at the DMV was simple. The engine is the 3.8L V6 with supercharger. It is a 5 speed manual transmission, not sure what model. 1st gear is useless. Car would be better suited to a bigger gearing. We had to make some adjustments to allow me to fit into the car: steering wheel shaft shortened, clutch pedal back, and remount the seat as far back as possible. Looks like I will have to move the mount point for the shoulder harness up. In any case it is still a tight fit, and will need really small shoes. :auto:
  6. I just posted some pics to the member rides section. Enjoy!
  7. I just received my new to me Stalker, well built by Mike Richardson of FL. Here are some pics.... enjoy! I am heading to the DMV to get it titled and registered in VA. cheers, Robin.
  8. Got my Super Seven!! Now the fun paperwork trying to get it on the street in VA.
  9. Good to see guys are making these in Canada in case I move back. Though the first lotus 7 I saw in Canada was in 1982, so perhaps it is not an issue... Can anyone recommend some mid atlantic car events or brit car events this summer? I saw the hyper fest link, just wondering if there are others in the RIC area.
  10. OK Sounds like the advice is to go and try. I am in Richmond, central Virginia. Any suggestions where to hunt rides? I just got a call and found out that at 6'3" and 36" inseam I am too tall for a classic model, and that an SV would fit. No I am not looking for a car to drive across country. At least not here. From all the reading I have been doing these cars are what I am looking for, but reading is different than driving. Leads to cars for sale are welcome. cheers, Robin
  11. Hi There, I am interested in getting into a car like this for weekend fun and local car club events, etc. I have never driven a 7. I have spent a fair amount of time driving a Corolla gts twincam 4AGE, definitely slower but still lots of fun, especially sideways. I would like some advice on what to look for and where to go to buy 7. By that I mean Caterham/Birkin/Stalker (any others?). I am not interested in a new car nor am I interested in doing a build, too many other projects on the go and this is supposed to be adrenaline laced stress relief . I realize there are some very passionate and experienced ppl on this board, so I'm interested in your advice, and what you'd do differently. cheers, Rob.
