  1. A friend just sent me this Los Angeles CL add for an Elan. Have a spare 55k for a S3? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/4815356806.html
  2. Although it appears to have already been solved, on the topic of American sevens H&S Engineering made a seven out in Ventua, California in the 80s. It was bigger like an SV, clamshelled, and usually pinto powered. Body had glass clamshells and fenders with an aluminum hood and some paneling. I've got one in my driveway and all the old documentation if anyone is curious about them. *I see this was just brought up above (it's the Sabre)
  3. I don't have any experience with any of the above yet but would be interested in the feedback you receive. I also was looking into the RS Watanabe wheels for my seven, though I understand they may be a bit costly and tough to get.
  4. Hello Aaron, Thank you very much for the offer. Your ride sounds like a terribly impractical blast, I like it. I have considered doing a bike engine conversion on my mini on numerous occasions, so I'd be excited to see what one is like in a seven. I'll hit you up via PM. Ben
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I was having challenges with the site on my other computer (was all text), looks quite different on this one. Nice portfolio by the way.
  6. Hello Randall, Thank you kindly for the offer. Perhaps we could PM and set up a time and place that works for you. I'm excited for the opportunity. Ben

    Intro

Hello All, I'm shiny new to the site and have been lusting after your toys for quite some time now. I live at the southern end of Orange County where I work for the National Science Foundation as a director of a rapid technology lab (wooo, rapid prototypes, additive manufacturing, 3d printing!). Anyway, I've been wanting to get into the seven scene for quite some time but have yet to run in to anybody with one in real life (I've owned plenty on my Xbox, but have only seen one proper 7 at a cars and coffee event in Irvine). My current rides are a rather rusty rhd mkIII Mini I picked up to goof around in a year ago, a Ducati s4rs Monster, and a base Saturn Ion I use to haul my mountain bikes around (and myself of course, it is the only vehicle I have with ac and a means of keeping the weather out). So long as the Saturn keeps running, my other means of conveyance can be far less practical. Anyway, I'm hoping to pick up a seven one of these days, or at least that's the plan. If any semi local people would be willing to take me for a ride, it'd be suuuper appreciated (seriously, who's the new guy asking for favors?) I do work around 7 days a week, but I'd do what I could to work around your schedule. Ben
