We are extremely proud to announce a new home for owners of lightweight cars: LTW Motorsports. We offer drivers of lightweight sports cars an opportunity to get together at our dedicated events and have some fun on track...together! This is an environment structured for cars and their owners who simply "get" the lightweight formula. LTW = Lightweight LTW Motorsports was created by two track enthusiasts, Greg Miceli and Bill Thomas. Their singular goal is to focus on providing high quality track events for owners of lightweight sports cars. What we classify as "lightweight" is a car that weighs less than 3,000 lbs. Since our focus is on performance through light weight (?), we welcome cars that have less than 350 hp as well. Owners of sports car brands such as Ariel, BAC, Caterham, Lola, Lotus, , Radical, Rossion, Toniq,Westfield are our target group. This is not to suggest that owners of other marques are not welcome to attend our events: we simply want to reinforce the lightweight concept. Services we offer LTW offers premium quality High Performance Driving Events, Time Trials and, in the near future, wheel-to-wheel racing. Thanks for the e-mails, you are both correct it is much easier for me to respond via e-mail, however I thought I'd post here too since the setup is likely the same for other 7 owners. From one of the e-mails: "I have a wind deflector, full face helmet, cage, race seat, fuel cell, fire supression system etc.," >> I'd also recommend a full nomex suit for that setup, but that isn't required. Otherwise I am fine with that setup. Regarding the tires, as Croc mentioned assuming you qualify for the hpde3 group, then you'd be okay to run slicks. Without knowing your experience on track, it is hard to make a blanket statement there. So not one 7 is signed up for the event thus far. I have to say I'm a little surprised and saddened that months of negotiation and work to put together a series to include you guys seems to be for naught.

So long as you all make ONE of those days our event, I'm happy. To be perfectly frank the costs are high and we likely are going to take a hit on this event to try to keep the costs to participants not exorbitant. If you'd like to see this work and have a home for your group every year, then please do what you can to make our event.

I'm working hard to try to get something in writing so I can send the dates out for LTW. Trust me I am frustrated with the lack of response from NJMP, but we are asking for a bit more than they are used to. I hate not being able to send out the dates, but hopefully we will get something locked down this week or next.

Greg is in his 10th year of driving on track and is an experienced instructor for the Audi Club North America, NASA Northeast, SCDA and the Schattenbaum chapter of the Porsche Club of America. He has also managed highly successful HPDE events for over 5 years. Through his years of experience running multi-million dollar projects for a major telecommunications provider, Greg brings to LTW Motorsports a professional and knowledgeable skill set of event management. Greg currently enjoys driving his track-prepped Lotus Elise. Bill, a dyed-in-the-wool British sports car enthusiast, has over 20 years of racing experience and is currently a driving instructor with NASA Northeast and the Northeast Audi Club. I seriously doubt that. They can sell out their own track days and usually have very full schedules to maximize the amount of time for their groups. I have a few options I am working on for next year to get all the Lotus group together on track two or three times in 2013. I am also meeting with Robbie from Lotus Cup USA series in January to discuss their plans. I should have some good news for you guys hopefully by February at the latest. Greg Track Junkie #28
