Hijacking this thread for my own benefit...
I am interested in learning more about the Seven experience, as it looks to be a very "pure" sports car experience and more engaging than most other vehicles on 4 wheels. Would anyone in the Metro Area be interested in meeting, talking Sevens and potentially taking me for a ride in their Seven once spring is fully here?
To tell you a little about myself: I am a mechanical engineer by education and employed as a chassis system design engineer at the GM Tech Center. I have done a fair amount of wrenching at home, as resurrected many 1960-70s GM cars from long storage into summer daily drivers and built & maintained a Cal-Look Volkswagen Super Beetle since 1994 (1776cc engine, Weber carbs, close-ratio transaxle, 4-wheel disc brakes, etc). I've autocrossed, drag raced & done HDPE events, as well as some kart racing (all for fun, not competitively). In short: I am a decent amateur wrench and a decent driver. My summer driver for the last 10 years is a 1999 Corvette Z51 coupe. I am leaning toward something more engaging as my next toy car.
I live in Royal Oak, Michigan. Send a PM if interested!
