That would be an excellent thing to do. Good for your karma, also. (or would it be "car-ma?")

It's funny how people differ, even when you narrow down the category to car guys who want a Lotus 7 clone! The RHD is a major plus for me as I look for a car. ( want as British a version as I can get, and having owned a RHD Morgan, I'd say it is hardly ever an inconvenience on such a small car. The other factors you mentioned in your post are definitely a turn off for me though. I need a car that is close enough for me to trailer it home myself, if not local. Good luck in your hunt ! -

I totally agree, having a RHD car here in the US myself. In this size car you would only be sitting two feet from where you would sit in a LHD version. LOL ! -

I don't remember this one being posted recently. "1958 Lotus 7 Mesa , AZ Craigslist http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4958346173.html -
I read your intro thread from last year. It certainly sounded like an ambitious project under the best of conditions ! I had always thought that when I retired, I would attack my car projects without distraction. It turns out that for some folks, that isn't the way it goes, for various reasons. I am contemplating selling projects also. I know a guy that just posted on another car forum about wanting a Healey. I will direct him to your post.

Interesting. Where did it end up? I am assuming that you are talking about the Eleven project? I had seen a post on Bring-a-Trailer by a person that said that they bought it and that he would update as the project proceeds. -

If the motor is located somewhere between the front and rear axles; it qualifies as mid-engined ( i.e, could be in front of the rear axle, or behind the front axle.) -

\ I assume that such a thing would be a major hassle to import to USA and register? Too far away for me, anyway. -

A dirtbag, for sure; but, at least his prey is a wealthy first worlder who wouldn't miss it. Someone who would send $14k to an anonymous person somewhere unknown on the planet in hopes of buying a toy at a discounted price. (That is how this ends up if he hooks a fish). It annoys me because I know that the fish he hopes to land looks just like me and many board members here as far as age, sex, financial assets. I hate to think one of "us" is still naive enough to swallow the hook, line and sinker; but, it isn't impossible, so, these guys keep on fishing. They don't even have to invest in a boat, trailer, truck, tackle or beer for their sport !
