  15. I just got a project car with the stock 2.0 pinto distributor, with vacuum advance, it came with a brand new mallory dual point distributor, no vacuum advance, but has tach drive, which I need for the smiths tach in the car. The mallory has no drive gear on the shaft, does it need one? I called mallory and they could not help because it's out of production. Any help would be appreciated.

The body is cleaning up pretty well, karate kid exercise, polish on polish off. Old smith speedo, and tach that don't work, The smiths tach is mechanical, the original distributor is not, it came with a new mallory dual point mechanical tach drive distributor, but not sure it will work.
