Buy it! It does appear to be an early 90's car with a VERY desirable and rare Cosworth BDR Engine. It also has up rated suspension and brakes and am sure lots of other goodies. Even if this car is a basket case I would suggest $35k-$40k as the BDR Engine alone would be a $15k engine.

Day 3 of the Duratec Build. I know its a little boring right now but I essentially have all of the components ready and some of the fun really starts on Day 4 when I start changing the Valve springs etc. Anyway, Here is the link to Day 2 Cheers, -

I've just uploaded my First Build / Engine pull video for the 2.3 Duratec. I'm now on a roll with most of the parts accumulated and am ready to undertake this project. I'll try and post two videos a week to stay current with the progress. Feel free to follow along. -
Slowly but surly I am acquiring parts for my 2.3 Duratec build and conversion on my Caterham. Here is the fist video relating to the build. I'm going to try and document as much as possible during the process so please feel free to Subscribe and follow along. It may also help to have a few more eyes on the project as I progress through as I may need help from viewers. Thanks. :cooldude:

You're right The noise of the X-flow is great. The current engine is a fairly standard 1600 and a little week when it comes to performance driving. The Duratec I've sourced is a 2.3 and I have already acquired some Cosworth internals, Individual roller barrel Throttle bodies, Hot cams, Lighter flywheel....etc....etc. I will be mating it to the T5 I currently have with an RWD Motorsports alloy bell housing. It should be fairly easy to get 200+hp with the build. I figure with the Individual Throttle bodies I should be able to keep some of the X-flow-esc induction noise and with the right exhaust be able to obtain a little of the Exhaust note (Though this might be harder). Either way I'm looking forward to the process and the power gain.

Hey Folks. I picked up this lovely Caterham from "Bigdog" in Walla Walla Washington a couple of months ago. I'm going to be carrying out some restoration as well as a Duratec Swap over the Fall, Winter and in to the spring. Feel free to follow along with my Journey if you'd like. I'll be posting videos on my Youtube channel (Link Below) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRqzGCitx8YGUQ-YpInEFg Feel free to Subscribe.

The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale

The Fiat and Alfa Dealer here in Victoria BC Canada has just taken in on consignment one of David Saville-Pecks Caterhams. It has a Ford Sigma Engine an SV Chassis, Full wet weather gear and is a 2007 I believe. The Car has only 2000kms on it and is in as-new condition. The Dealer is asking $41,900cnd which is $32,300usd. I went to view it today and can attest that it would be as good as you would find directly ordering from the factory. They don't have any pictures posted on their website yet however here is a link to the dealership. http://www.alfaromeovictoria.com/ In my eyes this seems like quite a good buy especially if you could get around importing in to the USA. -
Hello all! I'm relatively new to this Forum but have been quietly lurking for a while. I just last week picked up BigDog's S3 DeDion Caterham and have imported it up to where I live in Victoria BC. (Canada) I'm going to be spending some time restoring and updating the car over the fall and winter but at present would love to do a trackday or two during the summer. The current standard Roll bar won't suffice as I'm 6'1 and with helmet even more so I'm on the hunt for a taller Trackday roll bar. The car I believe has a mid nineties imperial Long cockpit chassis, though it is registered as a 1983. If anyone has any leads please pass them along.
