  1. thank you Brightonuk. I prefer the look of the 13inch rim, but there are not many tire choices (in the US) for that size rim. I might have to invest a half day and dry fit them on the car to see how the clearances are.
  2. Sorry for what may be a stupid question, but I ended up with four wheels from a 2005 Ford Focus ST. They are 16" and currently have a decent set of 205/50-16 tires. The bolt pattern seems to match the front and rear axles on my lotus 7 clone. The car is now set up with 185/70-13 inch tires on American Racing Libre wheels. the tires on the new set up would be an inch wider and an inch more in diameter. TIA for any advice.
  3. We've used various SUV camera cars, mostly porsche-mounted. they have transformed action filming. This is like some of the motorcycle-platform camera systems, but on a more stable platform. Cool idea.
  4. Hey Mark, the lotus is sharing some space at my BMW guru's garage. He does quality restorations and really knows how to keep airheads running. None of the bikes in the background of the picture are mine, but I do have an R60/2and an R75/5 he's restoring and an R80ST that he keeps in good shape. Had an R80G/S that wasn't being ridden enough and that sale partial funded the lotus.

  6. Jim in Los Angeles here. New seven owner, although I fell in love with the car 40 years ago. The new-to-me seven is a clone/replica built on an age appropriate Arch Motors chassis. Had an MGB and an Alfa spider before, so not afraid to pick up a wrench (spanner?) Looking forward to an on-going addiction.
