I think the straight ones are better if you’re running a roof. The sloping ones offer better protection. But I could be wrong... maybe ask Caterham - they are pretty good at replying.
Caterham just got these back in stock last week. The chances of finding a used one, especially in the states, is slim to none.

Willow Springs (Big) also Streets of Willow.
Don't forget there are some incredible canyon drives to do here. Angeles Crest, around Mulholland etc. Also HWY 1 around Big Sur if you fancy a tour. (I could be convinced...)
